What iPod is to Portable Music, Pharmaceuticals are Your Health

While this may be off topic for this blog, I have had an epiphany just the other day. What iPods
are to the portable gadgets, pharmaceutical drugs are to your health. iPods are very popular, so are drugs you get at your local pharmacy. People tend to trust iPods because of the brand that’s behind them, and most people rather go with the stuff the doctor prescribed because it takes a long time to become a doctor, not to mention the fact that you have to be pretty smart too.

There is a downside, though. With iPods, if you do the proper research you will find that there are cheaper alternatives that do pretty mush the same for you minus the Apple logo. If you have to have the good feeling coming from owning the brand, that’s fine, but if you just want a relaible and affordable device, you might want to go with a run-of-the-mill mp3 player.

But when it comes to lab-developed drugs, the picture is slightly different. While one can live (in theory) without his or her daily fill of gadgets, it may not be as easy without perfect health. While medical science contributed a great deal to the quality of life of the modern human being, has come without strings attached. There are side effects to just to mention the most major drawback to modern drugs. Herbs such as the Himalayan goji juice are frowned upon by doctors, because they have been indoctrinated that they are the intellectual superior’s of the vast majority of the population, and that herbal medicine is borderline witchcraft.

Herbal medicines could offer a great deal to society, but politics and the power brokers are keeping things under control. However, it doesn’t matter if your are talking iPods or medicine, the individulal through the voice the collective is still in control, that is, if he or she decides to practice that control.
